How to cooperate with startups - The PortXL experience
PortXL, world 1st Port accelerator : The Port of Rotterdam is the innovation hub for port business around the world. PortXL is aiming to develop an ecosystem for port startups worldwide. Together with impactful initiatives like the VC fund (First Dutch Port Fund), the RDM Rotterdam makerspace and 3D printing Ram Lab, and the world leading PortXL partners like Van Oord, Port of Rotterdam, EY, Vopak, Damen, Uniper, Boskalis, Heineken we build this leading ecosystem. PortXL focusses on scouting the best startups worldwide, and help them to find their first clients. This way building the port business of the future.
Mare Straetmans is currently the managing director of PortXL - World Port Accelerator. Before this he worked for the Port of Rotterdam
Authority and PwC. He aims to: contribute to entrepreneurship, make a change, be positive, apply the 80/20 rule and spread the port-vibe. He
does not aim to: take the same route as the day before, or compromise.
