At Port of Rotterdam we aim to be the smartest port in the world. To this end we are continuously looking for ideas that make our port safer, more efficient and sustainable. As it is our view that the best innovations come to life where two worlds come together, we strongly believe in cooperating with external parties. Start-ups – with their flexibility and creative ideas – are considered of great importance to rejuvenate the port. Therefore, we actively scout for start-ups and match them both internally to POR Authority and externally to businesses in the port. In addition, we support start-ups through our incubator and accelerator programmes in obtaining licenses, finding workspace, shared facilities, etc. The port is a great innovative playing field, full of business potential.
